Picture this, July of 2020: distressed with the inability to frequent my local markets of various culinary traditions, I resort to a subscription box I heard of on a favorite podcast. Not expecting much, having lived through the tech company "box craze" of the oughts/teens, I open my first box to be pleasantly surprised! Rancho Gordo beans? Heritage grains? Sumptuous sauces? Grits of all colors and origins? The tinned fish of my dreams? At this moment I immediately about-faced, from being a skeptical subscriber to an evangelical enthusiast! Honestly, the only downside was it felt overly extravagant to indulge in such delicacies in a year of ascetic withdrawal and stoic endurance. I was cheating, and it was delicious.
...what, you don't dream of tinned fishes?
Get on this, it's dope.
I always love the boxes and spend the month until the next one trying out new ways to cook and enjoy everything that just arrived!
Ben2table is the friend you wish you had in real life. The one who you fully trust to introduce you to food and cuisines that you're going to love. I've been constantly surprised by the insane quality of the food in the box. Even when I don't want to cook it's nice knowing that I have amazing products just waiting for me in my cupboard.
Everything I've cooked from the Essentials Box has been delicious. I never knew beans could be this tasty! Ben to Table is actually changing the way I eat.
We’re so happy with our subscription. For real. We’re Southern and we’ve been eating grits our whole lives. The ones we made from Geechie Boy are, bar none, the best.
